Red Pines Staff: Fall 2017 (Must be at least 18)

The Red Pines Staff work under the direction of the Camp Director to provide hospitality, direction, and programming for Red Pines groups at YMCA Camp Hough. Programming may include boating, archery, nature study, arts and crafts, rock climbing, team building, and the low/high ropes course.

Universal Preschool Teacher & Aide Positions (Various Districts)

All applicants must be energetic, enthusiastic and have a passion for early childhood education.  Applicants for the Teacher position must be New York State certified in Childhood or Early Childhood Education and either hold a Masters Degree or be perusing their Masters Degree.  Applicants for the Assistant positon mush have experience working with preschool aged children in a classroom.

Welcome Center Staff (Member Services Representative)

Front line, part-time position, various evenings and weekend shifts primarily, also looking for various morning and afternoon shifts.  Previous customer service experience required, sales experience preferred.  Applicants must be outgoing, energetic, friendly, have great oral and written communication skills and enjoy interacting with members and guests.

Essential Duties: Supervise swimmers, ensure safety, monitor pool areas.  Requires American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard certification, dependable. Part-time.


Group Fitness/ Exercise Instructor 

Seeking certified and experienced Group Exercise Instructors.  All classes and levels are welcome to apply.  YMCA Group Exercise Instructors receive a free YMCA membership and competitive wages.


Before and After-School Child Care Staff    

Site Director and aide positions available.  Site Director Minimum requirements – 2 years of college with at least 18 credits in a field related to children (education, recreation, phys ed, child development etc)   PREFERRED – associates degree or higher in related field.  Experience working with children.  1 - year in a supervisory role Experience working with kids and a fun, energetic, team player type of attitude who is creative and love children.  Child Care Aide minimum requirement – 18 years of age or older.  Experience working with kids and a fun, energetic, team player type of attitude who is creative and love children.

Must be available 6:30am until school begins and from the end of the school day until 6pm.  Two area sites available (Batavia, Pembroke).





Welcome Center Staff (MSR)
Essential Duties: Build relationships with members and guests, receipt transactions, answer phones, handle questions with excellent customer service.  Part-time, evenings and weekends necessary.


Lifeguard and Swim Instructors:


Certified lifeguards muxt be at least 18 years of age with current certification in lifeguarding, first aid, CPR & AED.
