7 + 1 – schedule for Jan 2021
To develop the spiritual, mental, and physical wellness of all people in an atmosphere of Christian fellowship.
Founder of the YMCA
Williams arrived in London England in 1841 to work at a drapery factory that employed 150 young men. A devout Christian, Williams was concerned with their spiritual condition. He met another Christian and began praying by name for every person in the factory. On June 4, 1844, twelve young Christians came together in Williams inner city bedroom to develop strategies to evangelize the masses of young men that were flocking to England for employment…the birth of the YMCA.
